Full Job Description

The Credentialing Data Specialist is a member of the quickly growing PMG Credentialing Team and will be responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate data. This person needs to be well organized, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and interface professionally with PMG staff. The ideal candidate would be an analytical thinker, pays attention to detail and possesses a positive attitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Compiling, analyzing, and maintaining current and accurate data for all providers in the PMG credentialing database.

· Adhering to detailed instructions regarding the maintenance procedures for provider data and entering this information into the credentialing database and appropriate payer portals.

· Verify and document expirables using acceptable verification sources to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

· Securely manage information as the single source of truth by effectively navigating database software and maintaining data integrity

· Provide demographic updates and/or attestations to insurance payers

· Communicate and follow-up consistently with providers to obtain necessary information

· Maintaining confidentiality with regards to any disciplinary actions, malpractice suits, and personal information.

· Assisting the Team with additional administrative tasks, as assigned.

Summary of Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Experience working in an administrative capacity in a medical office/healthcare administrative setting preferred.

· Experience with CredentialStream, and CAQH strongly preferred.

· Successful experience demonstrating the use of interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and gather info from all levels of personnel.

· Proven ability to organize, prioritize and complete work, in a timely manner, according to pre-established guidelines.

· Must be reliable and possess extreme attention to detail and documentation.

· Must be able to work independently and as a contributive member of the Credentialing Team.

Physical Requirements:

Necessitates fine motor skills; occasionally requiring pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs. Must be able to use a computer, including keyboard and telephone, during peak activity periods, in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
