Duties
- Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or manual cleaning methods
- Sanitize all items following food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and portioning
- Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas and service stations
- Support kitchen staff by organizing and storing clean items properly to ensure quick access during busy service times
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to sanitation guidelines
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Experience with dishwashing, food handling, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper knife skills and heavy lifting techniques
- Prior catering or banquet experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently during evening shifts in a fast-paced setting
- Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and teamwork in a hospitality environment
