Quality Technician; Weekend Night Shift; 4/3 schedule; 12-hour shifts; TH-S; 6:00pm-6:15am
Role Impact:
As part of this aseptic, beverage manufacturing facility, a Quality Technician will be critical in building a sustainable, high- quality, food safety capability mindset and culture.
In this role, the Quality Technician will continuously perform tasks associated with food safety policies, standards, and procedures.
Role Responsibilities

Ensures all parameters of food safety and quality are being adhered to and maintained throughout the facility.

Responsible for component testing of incoming raw material. (i.e., raw milk, skim, cream, cocoa, sugars, etc.)

Ensures ingredients meets specifications for production.

Conducts equipment pre-operational inspection.
-
Calibrates lab and line equipment for accurate results.
-
Collects in-process and finished product samples for testing.

Verifies cleaning of equipment.

Responsible for environmental monitoring /testing, including water management systems and air quality.

Responsible for environmental pathogen swabbing within the facility.

Responsible for allergen testing of equipment where/when appropriate.

Conducts shelf-life monitoring of product.

Ensures aseptic conditions are maintained by testing for microbial contamination.

Follows protocols for documenting testing results.

Assists with conducting internal audits.
-
Recognizes deficiencies and initiate proper follow-up.

Identifies and isolate products that do not meet standards.

Aids in troubleshooting deficiencies and non-conformances.

Maintains all proper documentation and records associated with responsibilities

Reviews beverage safety and quality records.

Maintains and implements components of the SQF System (Food Safety & Food Quality) as required.

Maintains proper inventory of all laboratory equipment.

Must follow all proper Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Good Documentation Practices.

Continuously maintains laboratory areas.

Actively participates in plant teams (HACCP, Safety, etc.)

Conducts other duties as assigned by management.

Follow Food Safety Requirement/Standards as needed.
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience & Skills
-
Must read, write, and communicate in English.
-
Laboratory experience is preferred. A combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
-
Excellent attention to details and analytical skills are required.

Experience in similar manufacturing environment preferred.

Experience in Good Documentation, Good Laboratory and Good Manufacturing practices preferred.

Experience in Safe Quality Food (SQF) preferred.
Physical Requirements

Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
-
Must be able to work 10/12-hour shift(s).
-
May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Must follow GMP Policy - wear company issued shirt, hat, safety glasses, earplugs, and hairnet in production areas.

May have exposure to certain allergens.
-
May be required to conduct sensory testing as needed.
-
Must be able to work with equipment that contains electric magnetic components.
