Full Job Description

Job Duties: Utilize knowledge of, and experience with, Java/J2EE tools and technologies, to design, develop, test and support Java/J2EE applications while under close supervision. Responsibilities include the following: Participate in modification of existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Assist with the development of software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Under supervision, confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to assist in system design and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Participate in consultations with customers about software system design and maintenance. Subject to review and approval by a supervisor, coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Employer will accept a three- or four-year bachelor's degree, including a foreign degree.

Position is project-based at various unanticipated work sites within the U.S., and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project. 3.
