Full Job Description

Job Title: Drafter
Job Description

We are seeking a talented Drafter to join our team, focusing on electrical drafting using AutoCAD for new substation projects, upgraded substations, or maintenance tasks with substations.

Responsibilities

Utilize Autodesk AutoCAD for electrical drafting tasks.
Work on new substation projects, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met.
Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
Participate in the design process and make efforts to grow beyond CAD work.

Essential Skills

Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD.
0 to 5 years of drafting experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to ask questions and be a proactive learner.
Computer and technology savvy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in consulting or utility industries is a plus.
Knowledge of other design software such as MicroStation or Inventor is beneficial.
Desire to learn and understand the reasoning behind design decisions.

Work Environment

This role is based in a professional engineering office, providing a collaborative and innovative environment where you can grow your skills and knowledge.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
