Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Receptionist for a large WIC Program. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children - better known as the WIC Program - serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.

Duties

Greet visitors warmly and professionally, directing them appropriately while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and transfer calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette.
Handle front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, answering emails, reviewing incoming faxes, etc.
Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to ensure accuracy and organization of office records.
Utilize computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Google Sheets)
Assist with customer support by addressing inquiries via phone or email and providing exceptional service to clients and visitors.

Experience

Previous office experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems and demonstrate excellent phone etiquette.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele; fluency in additional languages enhances communication.
Demonstrated proficiency in proofreading documents and maintaining accurate records ensures professionalism at all times.
