Job Summary
Canddiate must have at least 5 years of experience
Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, the Surgical Reprocessing Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, disinfecting, and sterilizing all surgical instruments and supplies used across inpatient, outpatient, operating room, emergency room, delivery room, and satellite departments.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Inspect, assemble, and package instrument sets and trays
- Document and monitor all sterilization processes (steam, ETO, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants)
- Ensure compliance with all sterilization and safety standards
- Prepare case carts based on surgeon preference cards
- Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure instrument and supply availability
- Receive, stock, and maintain sterile supplies while ensuring proper inventory levels
- Anticipate instrumentation needs for scheduled surgical cases
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Central Service Certification (Required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of medical terminology course
- BLS certification (preferred)
Schedule
- Afternoon shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Every other weekend rotation required

Pay: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour
