Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck, including manual transmission models, to pick up and deliver freight across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring secure handling of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations while optimizing delivery times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, report any issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse activities when needed, including moving inventory and maintaining organized loading areas.
- Load and unload shipments accurately, verifying delivery details against manifests or delivery instructions.
Requirements
- Must own a 26 ft Box Truck
- Own a reliable smart phone with unlimited data
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong background in route driving and heavy lifting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks with manual transmissions preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Warehouse experience, including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely repeatedly throughout the day; physically fit for manual handling tasks.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Prior experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Must have Insurance coverage with a minimum 2,000,000 cargo liability

Attendance & Performance PolicyTimely pickups and deliveries are essential to our customers. Repeated late pickups or deliveries without a valid, documented reason may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of the independent contractor agreement.
