Full Job Description

Some people inspect paperwork.

You inspect work that has to perform hundreds of feet in the air.

This is your chance to be the quality authority on a high-profile wind turbine repower project where your decisions directly impact safety, reliability, and project success. If you've spent years in the field and you're ready to be the person crews rely on when quality matters most, this is the kind of project that gets noticed.

What you'll be doing

You'll support a large wind repower project, working alongside construction leadership and field crews to ensure every installation is completed correctly the first time.

Perform quality inspections during mechanical and electrical repower activities
Verify work meets OEM specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements
Inspect major components including gearboxes, generators, blades, RTUs, and tower internals
Review torque documentation, alignments, measurements, and installation tolerances
Identify deficiencies before they become costly rework
Complete NCRs, punch lists, inspection reports, and photographic documentation
Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, Technical Advisors, and construction crews
Provide technical guidance that helps crews improve quality across the project
Stop work when quality standards aren't being met—and help get the project back on track the right way

What you get

This is a six-month contract supporting a large-scale repower project that offers excellent visibility with project leadership and the opportunity to build your reputation on one of the team's flagship jobs.

$50-$55/hour
Approximately 60 hours per week
$178/day per diem paid weekly
Company truck and fuel card
Mobilization and demobilization paid at the IRS mileage rate
Paid travel home rotation, including 20 hours of pay during your week off
Work on a highly visible project with an experienced renewable energy team

Who you are

You're the person who notices the details others overlook.

You have experience in wind repowers, major corrective work, commissioning, construction, or OEM quality programs. You understand turbine systems, can interpret drawings and work instructions, and aren't afraid to have difficult conversations when quality is at risk.

People trust your judgment because you've earned it in the field.
