Full Job Description

Bionyra Pharma is a Paris-based (with US affiliate), clinical-stage biotech founded in 2025 by a former Sanofi executive and backed by leading global venture capital firms. Its mission is to develop next-generation therapeutic biologics for autoimmune diseases. Bionyra Pharma currently has three clinical-stage assets, with several early-stage assets expected to enter the clinic within three years. The company recently closed a $165 million Series A financing round, with a full press release expected toward the end of June.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, and strategic CMC consultant to support biologics CMC process development and manufacturing from early development through clinical stages. This role will be providing expertise to support developing efficient, robust, and scalable upstream/downstream purification processes for therapeutic biologics.

You will work at the intersection of science and execution, collaborating closely with global functions and local partners while managing external CDMO partners to deliver CMC milestones that support corporate development goals.

Key Responsibilities

Therapeutic biologics process development

Support developing and implementing scalable manufacturing processes for biologics drugs, with emphasis on purification process development, to meet established timelines.
Design, execute and perform data analysis for downstream process development laboratory studies, including protein A affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and mixed-mode chromatography, as well as ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF), membrane filtration and depth filtration processes.
Organize and interpret results, present to matrix team
Support process scale-up and tech transfer activities in pilot plant and clinical manufacturing sites.
Support clinical manufacturing by reviewing documents and/or using technical expertise to ensure successful manufacturing campaigns.

External Partnerships

Select and manage CROs/CDMOs for process development and manufacturing activities.
Review data, ensure quality, and drive timelines with external partners.
Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain data integrity.

Regulatory Support

Author and review CMC sections for IND, IMPD, and BLA submissions.
Support regulatory interactions with agencies such as the FDA and EMA.
Ensure compliance with applicable ICH guidelines, including Q2 and Q6B.

Quality & Compliance

Collaborate with CDMO Quality teams to ensure GMP compliance.
Review analytical data, deviations, and OOS/OOT investigations.
Support stability programs and reference standard qualification.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

PhD or MS in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, with at least 5–8 years of experience for PhD candidates or 8–10 years for MS candidates.
Significant experience in biologics analytical development within a CDMO or biopharma environment.

Pay: $120.00 - $300.00 per hour
