Full Job Description

Litigation Legal Assistant

Northern Oakland County law firm is seeking a pro-active, extremely organized, energetic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their medical malpractice team.

The successful candidate should have the following qualities:

At least five years+ of legal assistant experience in either a plaintiff Medical Malpractice or Personal Injury law firm or insurance defense law firm.
Ability to prioritize and effectively meet multiple deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills
Proficient in E-filing and circuit court procedures
Highly detailed in calendaring and scheduling
Empathy and understanding
High Computer and software proficiency
Desire to be a part of an elite, highly motivated team

Responsibilities will include:

Providing outstanding administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
Assist in preparation and filing of legal correspondence and documents
Professional court, counsel and client interface
Schedule court dates, mediations, meetings and travel arrangements
Extensive Calendaring and transcription
Keep all files and records organized
Preparing exhibits for trial preparation
Manage incoming mail and extensive email correspondence
