Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Skilled Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Your expertise will ensure that all parts meet strict specifications and quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to innovative manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with various tools and programming will drive our production excellence forward.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining centers, including CNC lathes and milling machines, with precision and efficiency.
Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages and CAM software to create complex parts.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to ensure accurate manufacturing.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration of equipment using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools for assembly or modifications as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards such as Lean manufacturing principles and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Maintain detailed documentation of work processes, inspection reports, and quality control records.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Machinist working with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, preferably with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Strong understanding of CNC programming, CAM programming, and GDT principles for precise manufacturing.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks or similar software.
Mechanical knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques is advantageous.
Experience with assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, welding techniques, and forklift operation.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
