Position Title: Life Sciences Associate – Project Coordination & Laboratory Operations

Location: Kansas City, MO

Industry: Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated Life Sciences professionals to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects in either laboratory operations, project coordination, or a combination of both areas depending on business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to build experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support pharmaceutical and biotechnology projects from initiation through completion.
Coordinate activities among internal departments, clients, quality teams, and laboratory personnel.
Assist with project scheduling, documentation, status tracking, and administrative activities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Support sample management, testing activities, data review, and report generation.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, GLP, and safety requirements.
Assist with client communications, project updates, and action item follow-up.
Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage project and operational activities.
Participate in laboratory testing, data collection, and scientific documentation as assigned.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience or academic exposure in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
Project coordination or project management support
Cell culture and sterile techniques
ELISA, PCR, qPCR, Flow Cytometry
Molecular biology techniques
Laboratory testing and analytical methods
GMP, GLP, GDP, or regulated environments
Scientific documentation and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific discipline.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Recent graduates seeking pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
Associate Scientists, Laboratory Analysts, Research Associates, QC Analysts, or Project Coordinators.
Individuals interested in laboratory operations, scientific support, project management, or pharmaceutical operations.
