Full Job Description

Enervise is the leading brand in commercial special projects / installation / service for HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS) for the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia marketplaces. We have a unique opportunity for a Project Sales Engineer to advise, design and sell mechanical retrofitting with solutions to building owners and managers in our areas of expertise. Enervise is not backfilling this position. Our business opportunities continue to thrive and accordingly, you will be the impact player serving the Dayton metropolitan area! We have three strong Project Sales Engineers for our Cincinnati and Columbus markets who provide support in addition to our VP of Business Development. You will develop a book of business and your own project pipeline.

Bonus points will be awarded if you have HVAC, plumbing, BAS/controls or mechanical experience. Mechanical engineers are strongly encouraged to apply!

The Project Sales Engineer role includes a base salary, a generous commission structure, an incentive bonus program, and an annual vacation trip award. Additionally, we provide a vehicle allowance, a gas card, technology (laptop, mobile phone, etc.), and marketing support.

The primary responsibility for this position is to sell Commercial HVAC Design Build and Project retrofits.
Types of Projects: Mechanical and Building Automation, Service Retrofits, Design Build Retrofits, and Energy Savings Projects.
Enervise has multiple Branch Sales reps who sell Service Contracts and will team with you to generate qualified Project Sales Leads.
Qualified internal sales leads provided from Enervise’s extensive recurring Maintenance Service agreement base - focused on Industrial, Education, Healthcare and Commercial Office markets.
You will be expected to generate additional Qualified leads from outside our maintenance base through your personal networking and business development efforts.
Territory – your primary focus would be Greater Dayton market, Cincinnati North and Columbus West.

Responsibilities

Provide sales leadership and innovate mechanical retrofit and design build solutions and foster relationships with our long-term clients to enhance their Building Thermal Comfort, IAQ, and Energy Savings.

Be the “Design and Engineering resource” for our Business Development Sales team and Service Technicians.
Source Professional Engineering for design, engineering and energy savings calculations and audits for all Projects.
Subcontractors: develop relationships with quality subcontractors in each trade.
Innovation – ensure that Enervise evolves as a leader in providing High Performance Building retrofit solutions.

Personal Sales role:

Provide “Rainmaker role” qualifying and closing Project Sales.
Meeting Annual Personal Sales Goals
Prospecting: the Enervise maintenance base and networking outside the client base for referrals to develop qualified leads for Retrofits, Building Automation upgrades, and Design Build Projects.
Project development: Qualifying new prospects, developing Project scope, design, preliminary engineering, or specifying Project engineering of mechanical, controls and energy solutions performed by engineering partners, estimating, proposal generation and presentation, and closing Project contracts at qualified margins.
Project design and engineering: Develop and work as needed through consulting engineering firms to prepare HVAC design-build plans, load calculations, equipment and system sizing, write equipment specifications and outsource design CAD drawings for commercial/industrial applications, and coordinate with Enervise project management and delivery team.
After the sale: making equipment selections and coordinating equipment buyout, procuring final engineering (utilizing outside engineering support when needed), ensuring permit drawings are engineered to meet current codes, ensuring a quality turnover with project management and field supervisors and providing after sales support through to successful job completion that the Project meets scope definition, projected gross margins and customer expectations.
Project Support: ensure that proper Subcontractor and Material and Equipment provider contracts are made to manage Project risk.
Engaging, outgoing personality who can overcome obstacles and objections. Problem-solver who can communicate well and work pleasantly with others. Also, you must be able to build a network and work well with longer sales cycles. Induce others to take action with your persuasiveness.
