Full Job Description

Demand Writers have a superior attention to detail. Our Demands writer can draft their own demands as well as collaborate with their team to edit and enhance other’s demands. Familiarity with medical terms and medical billing and medical Records/Billing retrieval procedures is a welcomed skill set.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Draft well written demand packages (for insurance companies) that maximize our clients’ case
Confirm that every demand package that is created by our office clearly establishes the facts of the case and articulates our client’s injuries and damages in a way that maximizes our client’s case so that one of two things happens on every case: (1) the policy is tendered; (2) the policy is opened
Make sure that each demand package establishes all damages, including loss of earnings, property damage and past and future medical expenses
Read medical records and bills
Provide a concise summary of case facts and create persuasive arguments regarding liability
Sort and reconcile medical records, insurance correspondence, and settlement releases on behalf of clients
Clearly articulate our clients losses
Organize and manage documents and exhibits
Once the demand is complete, leave the file in order for a quick lien resolution process, using firm processes
Meet KPI’s goals as communicated by department manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience handling a large volume of personal injury cases and a proven track record of drafting successful demand letters with very little supervision or direction.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Great work ethic and positive attitude
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Must be able to perform at a high level in fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly KPIs.
Strong legal writing and analytical skills
Familiarity with personal injury case structure, medical treatment timelines, and terminology
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
Confident, respectful negotiation style
Proficiency with CasePeer, Microsoft Office, and lien resolution tools (e.g., ChartSwap, Red Folder, Gluocroft, etc.)
Clear, professional verbal and written communication
