Position: Gifted Teacher

DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is hiring a Gifted Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. DIA STEM Academy's academic program has two pillars that support substantial improvements in achievement: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) combined with Blended Learning. We use theme-based interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning.
We are seeking a passionate, highly qualified Gifted Education Teacher to design and deliver advanced, differentiated learning experiences for identified gifted and talented students. The ideal candidate inspires intellectual curiosity, fosters creative and critical thinking, and supports the social-emotional needs unique to gifted learners across grade levels.
Develop, plan, and implement a differentiated curriculum aligned with gifted learners' readiness, interests, and learning profiles
Provide direct instruction through pull-out, push-in, cluster grouping, or self-contained gifted program models
Design project-based, inquiry-driven, and real-world problem-solving learning experiences
Administer and interpret gifted identification assessments; maintain student records and growth documentation
Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction within the regular classroom
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and program activities
Support the social-emotional development of gifted students, including perfectionism, asynchronous development, and twice-exceptional needs
Participate in IEP, 504, and gifted education plan meetings as applicable
Stay current on research-based best practices in gifted education and apply them to instruction
Coordinate academic competitions, enrichment events, and extracurricular opportunities (e.g., Olympiad, Science Bowl, Debate)
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred)
Valid state teaching certificate or license, including Gifted Education endorsement or certification
Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience
Demonstrated experience working with gifted, advanced, or high-ability learners
Strong knowledge of gifted education theory, identification practices, and differentiation strategies
Master's degree in Gifted Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
Experience with curriculum compacting, acceleration, and tiered assignment design
Familiarity with talent development frameworks (e.g., Renzulli, Bloom, Kaplan)
Experience supporting twice-exceptional (2e) learners
Proficiency with education technology tools and digital learning platforms
