Job Title: Insurance Customer Service Representative / Sales Agent
Job Summary
Safenet Insurance Agency is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative / Sales Agent to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, communicating by phone, handling office tasks, and assisting with insurance sales and service.
You will be the first point of contact for many clients, helping with quotes, payments, policy questions, renewals, follow-ups, and general customer service. We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced insurance office.
English and Spanish spoken is required for this position. Candidate must be able to communicate professionally with customers in both English and Spanish.
Training will be provided. A Property & Casualty insurance license and prior insurance experience are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Communicate with customers in both English and Spanish
- Help clients with insurance quotes, policy questions, payments, renewals, and service requests
- Follow up with leads, existing customers, renewal customers, and past-due accounts
- Assist customers in selecting insurance products that fit their needs
- Provide support for auto, home, commercial auto, and business insurance clients
- Process payments and transactions accurately
- Enter and update customer information in the agency system
- Maintain accurate notes, documentation, and follow-up reminders
- Handle emails, text messages, and basic office communication
- Support sales efforts by quoting, cross-selling, and helping retain existing customers
- Escalate complex issues to management when needed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with clients and team members
Qualifications
- Must speak English and Spanish
- Training will be provided
- Previous customer service, sales, call center, or office experience preferred
- Insurance agency experience is a strong plus
- Property & Casualty license preferred but not required
- Strong phone communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, and office software
- Ability to type, enter data accurately, and handle multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable making outbound calls and following up with clients
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Pay
Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Bonus or commission opportunities may be available based on performance.
Schedule
Part-time and full-time positions available. Office schedule may vary by location.
