Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder-Fitter to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, including pipeline systems, HVAC installations, fire sprinkler fitting, and structural assemblies. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our fabrication and installation processes.

Responsibilities

Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and <LOCATION> welding to meet project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment.
Execute pipe bending, tube bending, soldering, and rigging tasks with precision in accordance with industry standards.
Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during fabrication and installation processes.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to welding, fitting, or assembly on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
Support maintenance activities by repairing or modifying existing systems such as plumbing or HVAC units.
Collaborate with team members on construction site projects ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Operate measuring devices such as calipers and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.
Assist in the assembly of pipeline systems or other structural components following detailed schematics.
Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, and materials.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG, and <LOCATION> welding; certification is preferred.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, rigging, and assembly processes.
Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to pressure vessels or pipeline fabrication.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement devices accurately.
Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments involving plumbing or HVAC systems.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to welding, construction sites, or industrial environments.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards.
