Duties
- Collaborate with customers to understand their financial needs and present suitable financing options, including automotive financing and insurance products.
- Process loan applications efficiently by analyzing credit reports, verifying income, and assessing financial stability to determine eligibility.
- Structure deals by negotiating terms, interest rates, and payment plans that benefit both the customer and dealership while ensuring compliance with loan regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and other financial industry standards.
- Manage all aspects of loan processing, including title processing, contract preparation, and transaction structuring to facilitate smooth deal closures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive sales industry regulations, financial software systems, and regulatory compliance requirements related to credit analysis and loan documentation.
- Upsell additional products such as extended warranties, insurance packages, or service plans to enhance customer value and dealership revenue.
- Ensure all transactions adhere strictly to dealership policies and legal standards concerning financial regulatory compliance and consumer protection laws.
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive finance management or loan officer roles within the automotive sales industry.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with a focus on building trust and long-term loyalty.
- Excellent negotiation abilities to secure favorable deal terms while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Deep understanding of automotive financing procedures, credit analysis, contract law, and transaction structuring.
- Proficiency in financial software systems used for loan processing, credit checks, and deal documentation.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), Title processing laws, and automotive sales industry standards.
- Basic math skills including 10-key typing accuracy for quick data entry and calculations essential for deal structuring.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to upselling complementary products like insurance or extended warranties.
