Full Job Description

As an International Operations Specialist (IOS) you'll collaborate with a global multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and operational staff, handling matters such as passenger and crew medical clearance for travel.

Our team values your strong customer service and problem-solving skills, as much of our communication with clients involves telephone and email correspondence to assist our clients in their time of need.

You are the first point of contact – intake call; and based on client protocols you would escalate the call or triage to the appropriate team member or trained on how to handle the case depending on the issue.

You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality service, through effective case management, bringing swift and accurate resolution to situations presented.

You will execute cases with high standard customer service and working collaboratively between operations, medical and security specialists.

More importantly you will provide an empathetic and efficient delivery of the whole range of 24-hour assistance services and general customer service programs to our members globally.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Excellent customer service skills
Good knowledge of the Commercial/Business Aviation and Maritime clients.
Operations and logistics skills.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment.
Able to multi task and handle several requests at the same time, prioritizing tasks appropriately.
Ability to probe and question to ensure request for assistance is fully understood.
Resilience and ability to work well under pressure.
Attention to detail with the ability to read computer, written documents and type proficiently.
Ability to comprehend a given situation, information and requirements quickly and accurately.
Situational awareness skills, ability to perceive, understand and effectively respond to situation.
Expert communication skills, communicate information and concepts clearly and logically, setting time specific and achievable expectations, verbally and in writing.
Team player.
IT literacy and proficiency in the usage of contemporary computer software including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Must be able to sit for extended periods.
Must be able to use hands.
Must be able to speak and hear utilizing telephones and headsets

Required Work Experience

Typically, at least 1 – 2 years of experience in logistics and customer service is required.
Experience working in logistics, travel and/or healthcare sector is desirable.
Experience in phone-based or call center environment is desirable.
Experience of working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Required Qualifications

Educated to a high school diploma or equivalent.
Tertiary level education is desired.

Required Languages

Excellent written and spoken English language
Other language proficiency desirable

Travel / Rotation Requirements

3 days on/4 days off
Be able to rotate from the Global Response Center in Phoenix to the MedLink Call Center at Banner- University Medical Center, as needed or required.
Flexible Work Schedule - operation is open around the clock 365 days a year in a call center environment.
Shift work including occasional overtime based on operational requirements.
