Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Dietary Aide. In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure that residents or customers receive nutritious, delicious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about culinary arts, food handling, and providing exceptional service in a dynamic setting.

Duties

Assist with menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and dietary guidelines
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors
Prepare food items through slicing, chopping, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
Serve meals to residents or customers with professionalism and courtesy
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent contamination
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and delivery
Support catering events by preparing and serving food in accordance with client specifications

Qualifications

Previous experience in dietary services, restaurant work, or food industry roles preferred
Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and operating kitchen equipment
Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal prep processes
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
Familiarity with catering services or serving in a hospitality setting is a plus
