Position Summary
The Application Engineer serves as both a technical consultant and trusted advisor to customers throughout their software journey—from pre-sales demonstrations and evaluations to implementation, training, mentoring, and ongoing support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a variety of customers, industries, and engineering challenges while staying current with the latest Siemens technologies.
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand engineering and product development workflows.
- Recommend Solid Edge and Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions that improve design efficiency and productivity.
- Support the sales team by providing technical presentations, software demonstrations, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Deliver customer onboarding, implementation, and best-practice consulting.
- Conduct instructor-led training for Solid Edge and related Siemens software solutions.
- Develop customer-specific training materials and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support, mentoring, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to develop technical content, webinars, and customer success stories.
- Stay current on new software releases and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional CAD experience.
- Strong proficiency with Solid Edge.
- Experience with Siemens Digital Industries Software products is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of NX CAD, Teamcenter, or simulation solutions is a plus.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, mechanical design, or product development environments.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% for customer engagements and training.
