We are seeking a values-driven Regional Sales Executive who is passionate about solving real-world security and communications challenges and wants to help shape the next phase of our growth.

This is a true hunter role. It requires discipline, resilience, and a determined approach to prospecting within the public safety and municipal market. You will own your territory strategy and drive profitable growth across Motorola equipment: in-car mobile video, license plate reading equipment, body-worn camera solutions, and FCC’s associated service and support offerings — including multi-year agreements and six-figure solution opportunities.

Experienced law enforcement leaders who understand the public safety environment and are interested in transitioning into a business development role are encouraged to apply, however the role is open to anyone with the right attitude and experience.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute a territory growth strategy across Western and Central New York with a clear focus on new account acquisition and strategic account expansion.
Sell into law enforcement agencies, sheriff’s offices, fire departments, EMS organizations, and municipal governments.
Build and strengthen relationships with Chiefs, Command Staff, IT leaders, procurement teams, municipal administrators, and other key decision-makers.
Identify, qualify, and close complex solution sales that often involve large capital expenditures and long-term service commitments.
Generate new equipment opportunities while expanding recurring service revenue, maintenance agreements, and high-margin offerings.
Navigate government procurement processes, RFPs, budget cycles, and multi-stakeholder evaluations with confidence and professionalism.
Lead discovery meetings, product demonstrations, proposals, and negotiations through close.
Partner with internal engineers and leadership to design solutions that address operational, safety, and investigative challenges.
Maintain disciplined forecasting, CRM integrity, and pipeline visibility.

Consistent quota attainment with strong gross margin contribution.
Growth in multi-year contracts and recurring service revenue streams.
Successful execution of complex sales cycles involving significant capital investment.
A healthy, forward-looking pipeline built through disciplined prospecting and consistent business development activity.
New customer acquisition within priority agencies across the region.
Earned referrals and expanded relationships based on credibility, follow-through, and performance.
A reputation in the public safety community for professionalism, responsiveness, and delivering solutions that work.
Customers who view FCC as a trusted strategic partner — not simply a vendor.

Who You Are

3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in security, telecommunications, technology solutions, or public safety markets.
4+ years of outside sales experience in complex environments; government or public safety experience strongly preferred.
Proven track record of prospecting, cold calling, and successfully closing new business — including large, consultative deals.
Strong ability to engage with technical buyers, including engineers, IT leaders, and architects.
Comfortable navigating layered decision-making, formal procurement processes, and extended sales cycles.
Entrepreneurial in mindset — you take ownership of your territory, your plan, and your results.
Strong communicator and negotiator with executive presence.
Organized, accountable, and disciplined in how you manage your business.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Western and Central New York (~50%).

Compliance & Requirements

This position involves work in high-security environments governed by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy. The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal background screening.

Competitive base salary with commission structure.

- Commission uncapped. OTE $135–210K at plan, steady state. Note that quota ramps in year one; we cover specifics in the interview
