TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Planning Manager for a temporary opportunity in Greensboro, NC. This role is ideal for a strategic and analytical professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving operational excellence through effective planning and forecasting.
As a Planning Manager, you will lead planning initiatives that support business objectives, optimize resource utilization, and improve organizational performance. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop actionable plans, analyze business trends, and ensure alignment between operational execution and strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead planning, forecasting, and scheduling activities to support organizational objectives and long-term business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure plans are aligned with operational needs and strategic priorities.
- Analyze data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planning tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Monitor planning performance and recommend adjustments to improve execution and resource utilization.
- Communicate plans, forecasts, and recommendations to stakeholders to ensure visibility and alignment.
- Support decision-making through detailed analysis, reporting, and scenario planning.
- Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Mentor and support team members while promoting continuous improvement and professional development within the planning function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 5–7 years of experience in planning, forecasting, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
- Planning Expertise: Strong understanding of planning principles, forecasting methodologies, and operational processes.
- Analytical Skills: Experience analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across multiple departments and functional teams.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring team members and leading planning initiatives.
- Organization: Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Process Improvement: Experience enhancing planning processes, systems, or methodologies.
- Reporting & Analytics: Advanced proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
- Supply Chain or Operations Experience: Background in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or operational planning environments.
- Systems Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems, planning software, or forecasting tools.

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
