We are looking for a result-driven Commissioned Salesperson to be responsible for selling equipment to customers, from generating leads to closing sales. Salesperson duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a commissioned outside salesperson, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our dealership’s commitment to high industry standards. Ultimately, the duties of a commissioned salesperson are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the dealership’s sales goals. This is a pay for performance position with a nominal base wage, and significant sales commissions.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service

Assess customer needs and assist with information regarding product features

Follow and achieve sales goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

Actively seek out and pursue new customers, and answer their queries

Be knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options

Process POS (point of sale) purchases

Crosssell and upsell products

Team with coworkers to ensure proper customer service

Comply with inventory control procedures

Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, events, packages, etc)

Proven work experience in a dealership sales role or similar

Working knowledge of tractors, agriculture industry, construction industry, landscape industry, or similar

Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Proficiency in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Basic Math skills

Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements

Track record of overachieving sales quota

Handson experience with POS transactions, comfortable learning new technology

Familiarity with inventory procedures

Solid communication and interpersonal skills

A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner

Availability to work Saturdays

High school degree; Associates or Bachelors degree in Sales, Agriculture, Construction or related field would be a plus
