The Opportunity:

College of Sciences is consistently looking for adjunct faculty to teach in all areas of the college, including film, communication, advertising, and public relations. The demand for adjunct teaching roles fluctuates throughout the academic year. The benefit of applying for an adjunct faculty position is to retain your qualifications in our database of potential adjunct faculty. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis, and payment ranges are determined by the unit’s adjunct compensation model.

Responsibilities:

Ability to teach content for specific courses.
Ability to meet students weekly in a face-to-face, mixed, or online format.
Use technology, online platforms, tools, and software to support instruction.
Ability to respond regularly to student course questions throughout the contract period.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned master’s degree (undergraduate level teaching) or doctorate degree (graduate level teaching) from an accredited institution in the subject area to be taught or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

A highly qualified individual will have strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
