Full Job Description

We are seeking a Remote Senior Tax Manager on a contract to hire basis for our distribution client. This role will manage the company’s federal and multi-state tax provisions, tax compliance, and various tax projects. This is a high-impact tax leadership role for someone with strong income tax compliance, ASC 740, SOX, and corporate tax experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations across U.S. and international legal entities.
Prepare multi-state apportionment and calculate blended state tax rates.
Manage preparation and review of consolidated corporate income tax returns.
Prepare and review quarterly estimated income tax payments and reconcile tax account roll-forwards.
Perform tax research and analysis for special projects.
Assist with IRS and state income tax audits.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and internal business units.
Maintain current knowledge of U.S. federal tax legislation and U.S. GAAP financial statement reporting requirements for taxes, with strong ASC 740 experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA required
8+ years of federal and state income tax compliance experience ideally in both public accounting and corporate environments
Strong ASC 740 and tax provision experience
Experience working in SOX environments
OneStream experience is a plus
