Welder – Temp-to-hire

Schedule: Day Shift and Swing Shift Open
Day Shift: M-F 7:00am - 4:00pm
Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30am, optional OT on Friday
Pay: $22-27/hr. DOE + $1/hr. shift differential for swing shift
General Position Summary:
This family-owned business is expanding its welding shop team and looking for a motivated individual who has welding experience and is eager to advance their skills. This person will be responsible for welding, grinding, and fabricating jobs from start to finish. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Performs MIG, TIG, and Dual Shield welding processes on aluminum, mild and stainless-steel sheet metal.
· Operates standard fabrication shop equipment: grinder, buffer, hand and power tools.
· Accurately read and understand blueprints.
· Performs quality inspection of parts post fabrication process.
· Using measurement tools to ensure job specifications are precise.
· Maintains good, consistent housekeeping practices to ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment.
Requirements:
· 3 or more years of MIG welding experience required, TIG and Dual Shield experience preferred.
· Ability to climb ladders multiple times per shift
· Relevant welding certifications or technical education and training preferred.
· Experience reading blueprints.
· Proven ability with fabrication shop equipment: grinder, buffer, hand and power tools.
· High attention to detail to meet company and customer quality standards.
· Experience with measurement and inspection equipment.
· Highly motivated and eager to expand welding skillset.
· Must have the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
· Work leather boots and welding hood required, steel toe shoes recommended.
· Must be available for training on day shift.
