KBEY 103.9 FM is a locally owned, community-focused radio station with deep roots in the Highland Lakes. This is your opportunity to become a recognizable voice in the community—connecting with local listeners, interviewing community leaders, covering exciting events, and helping tell the stories that matter most. This position is ideal for up-and-coming radio talent who wants to grow both on-air and behind the scenes.
In addition to show responsibilities, this role includes production, managing guest scheduling, and supporting station social media.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare daily station content, topics, and guest research
Schedule, coordinate, and welcome show guests
Produce daily broadcasts and assist with overall station execution
Manage content on station social media platform, including live video broadcasts
Engage with listeners online by responding to comments and interacting with the community
Protect and uphold FCC rules and station policies
Understand and build strong relationships with listeners on-air, online, and at community events
Operate broadcast studio equipment and production software, audio production, and traffic
Read and interpret program logs, music logs, and production orders as well as invoicing at the end of each month
Write routine correspondence, promotional copy, and show-related content
Communicate clearly with excellent articulation and on-air presentation
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in station promotions, live remotes, and community events
Attend content, marketing, promotions, and sales meetings
Collaborate with the sales team on promotional opportunities and client campaigns
Participate in regular air-check sessions
Perform other duties as assigned that contribute to the success of the station
Desired Qualifications
College degree preferred, but not required
Two years of on-air radio and production experience preferred
Possess some knowledge of engineering with the ability to troubleshoot and find a solution
Passion for radio, storytelling, and community involvement
Comfortable interviewing guests and engaging with audiences both on-air and digitally
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Creative problem solver with a positive attitude
Team player who enjoys collaboration
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, type, and sit for extended periods
Eligibility Requirements
Must be able to work on-site in Marble Falls, Texas
Employment and education will be verified
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Must be authorized to work in the United States
