We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial outside sales professional to lead market expansion and accelerate adoption of our trim kit solutions.
Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business relationships, expanding contractor and dealer partnerships, and driving profitable revenue growth for WDI’s window trim kit product line.
This is not an order-taking role. The ideal candidate is a true hunter who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, solving customer problems, and closing business.
This individual will spend significant time in the field engaging contractors, builders, lumberyards, and job sites throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new contractor, builder, remodeler, window company and dealer relationships
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, jobsite visits, and industry events
- Build and maintain an active sales pipeline
- Conduct in-person sales meetings, demonstrations, and jobsite consultations
- Develop strategic relationships with residential builders, framing contractors, remodelers, lumberyards/pro desks, and window companies
- Drive adoption of WDI’s prefabricated trim kit solutions
- Maintain strong customer relationships and identify repeat sales opportunities
- Coordinate closely with estimating, production, and operations teams
- Position WDI products as labor-saving, time-saving, and profitability-enhancing solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly reporting
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in residential construction, remodeling, finish carpentry, window/door installation, or a related building trades field.
- 3–7+ years of outside sales experience
- Proven success generating and closing new business
- Experience managing a sales pipeline independently
- Comfortable with cold outreach and proactive prospecting
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Building materials or construction sales
- Familiarity with residential building processes, jobsite workflows, and contractor decision-making
- Contractor-facing sales experience
- CRM experience
Education Requirements
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
Equivalent construction industry experience may substitute for formal education requirements.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
