Full Job Description

Company Overview
IBEW & United Workers Federal Credit Union is a respected, member-based financial institution established in 1954, dedicated to serving members of various union trades. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment that values integrity, community, and excellence.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain efficient operation of the Credit Union’s card services programs. Addresses all plastic card requests in a timely manner. Provides timely, accurate and professional assistance to members and staff with exceptional face to face, phone, and email support. Strives to ensure the achievement of Credit Union goals. Helps to enhance the growth of the plastic card program and member usage.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist members, and staff with questions relating to Credit and Debit cards.
Handle member complaints and solve pending issues in a timely manner.
Assist members and staff with the documentation of transaction disputes, fraud, and account discrepancies.
Document the report of lost or stolen cards, block cards and update records on all systems.
Generate new and replacement card requests.
Process travel notification.
Daily follow up on any fraud notifications.
Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations is required.
Evaluate credit and debit card requests based on Credit Union policies.
Assists with fraud prevention. measures including setting holds, blocking appropriate retailers and regions of the country.
Follows established security procedures.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Credit Union products and services and suggests changes or updates when needed.
Maintain positive interaction with employees and members verbally, in person, over the phone and in writing.
All other duties as assigned.

Note: The above essential functions are not all-inclusive and may be amended as necessary from time to time.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a high school diploma and 3 years in Financial Institution Industry.
Concise and effective communication skills in both written and verbal methods
The willingness to continue to update skills and knowledge levels through classes, seminars, and self-study programs.
The ability to work as a member of a team and independently.
The ability to set priorities effectively and productively.
Must display flexibility and the ability to change functions at a moment's notice.
Possess good attention to detail and documentation.
Ability to stay focused and follow a job through to completion.
Must maintain dependable attendance and consistently arrive on time for all scheduled workdays.
Willingness to contribute new ideas to promote the success of the organization.
Must be committed to the success of the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Interpersonal skills necessary to represent the Credit Union in a professional, friendly, business-like manner.
Ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting schedules and deadlines.
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
