Job Description:

We’re looking for student assistants who bring energy, flexibility, and curiosity to support our Research & Development group in Lansing, Michigan.

This role is ideal for students who want hands-on experience in an innovative environment and are eager to contribute to real-world projects.

What is a Year Round program:
The Year Round Student Assistant program is offered all year. It offers students the opportunity to work part time 20 hours/week while attending school. When applying you will be required to pick a focus area from the ones listed below.

What You'll Do:
Depending on your skills and interests, you may contribute in one or more of the following areas:
Skills We’re Looking For (one or more areas):

Product Design & Prototyping
- 3D CAD design (SolidWorks, Rhino)
- Illustrate accurate multiple iterations of new concepts by hand quickly.
- Understanding of detailing and making technical drawings.
- 3D Printing and assembly of large precision parts.
Software Programming (Microcontroller)
- Program LVGL UI on microcontrollers
- Program Motor controllers with interrupts and queues
- Program WiFi sockets communication controllers
- PCB layout and prototype builds
Software Programming (Full Stack)
- Solid React experience Node.JS/Typescript/ Redux Toolkit (RTK)
- .NET ASP cloud database application programming
Business Operations
- Business Development
- Client outreach, communications, and proposals
- Track leads and business opportunities
Quality, Materials, Facilities
- Assist with order processing, purchasing, scheduling, packaging, maintenance
- Support quality management and general administrative tasks
Documentation
- Prepare documentation, user manuals, literature, and videos.
FDA Compliance
- Assist with FDA compliance and certification documentation for medical devices

What We're Looking For:

High school senior, college student, or recent graduate with interest in design, engineering, science, law, business, or related fields

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work 100% on-site in Lansing, Michigan

Hours

Shifts available Monday through Friday between 9-5.
Hours available: 15-25 / week
Pay scale: $13.73/hr
