Accentuate Staffing has partnered with a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm seeking a Construction Administrator / Field Construction Representative to support commercial and institutional building projects across North Carolina. This role serves as a critical connection between project stakeholders, helping ensure construction activities align with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and overall project objectives. The organization offers the opportunity to work on impactful public and private sector projects while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, technical excellence, and client service.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in commercial construction, construction inspection, field coordination, or project administration. This individual should be comfortable reviewing construction documents, conducting site inspections, managing project documentation, and communicating effectively with contractors, owners, architects, and engineering teams. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple active projects while supporting construction activities from pre-construction through project closeout.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections and site observations to verify construction activities comply with project drawings, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
- Review project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change requests, and other construction administration materials while supporting issue resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and project teams to facilitate communication and maintain project progress.
- Prepare detailed field reports documenting construction status, installation quality, observed deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with technical design teams to address field conditions and resolve issues involving building systems and construction activities.
- Support project closeout activities including punch list reviews, final inspections, documentation management, and project record maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, construction administration, field inspection, project coordination, or a related construction role.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and technical project documentation.
- Experience managing construction-related documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, field reports, and closeout packages.
- Familiarity with commercial building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management/document control platforms such as Bluebeam, Procore, Newforma, or similar software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and extensive field construction experience; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina required.
