Position Summary
The Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic security systems and related equipment. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills and experience working with electronic security technologies.
As a multi-disciplined systems integrator, Acme Technical Group designs, installs, and services a wide range of security solutions, including major CCTV and access control platforms. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality service to our customers and contributing to the continued success of our organization.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and committed to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic security systems and related equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CCTV, access control, and other electronic security systems.
- Repair or replace defective components and equipment as required.
- Install, configure, test, and commission electronic security devices and systems.
- Maintain an organized and professional work environment, including tools, vehicles, permits, documentation, and inventory.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Conduct quality assurance and functional testing of installed and serviced equipment.
- Research technical information, review manufacturer documentation, and participate in team discussions to expand technical knowledge and improve performance.
- Maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication and responsive service.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and technical support teams to resolve equipment or system issues.
- Document service activities, repairs, installations, and maintenance performed.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing electronic security systems preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and network-based security systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree in electronics or related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
