Responsibilities:
As part of the Project Team, the Superintendent develops and implements the work plan to deliver a safe, high-quality project within budget and on schedule.
- Take Responsibility for the implementation and enforcement of the Project Specific Health and Safety Plan.
- Have a thorough understanding of the Contract plans and specifications. Before installation, confirm that all materials comply with the plans and specifications.
- Review proposed construction means, methods, procedures, and techniques in advance with the Project Team and implement work in accordance with the work plan and project plans and specs.
- Hire and lay off union tradespersons as required by the work plan and schedule.
- Establish equipment needs for the project
- Review the job budget and establish the crew size, crew makeup, expected crew production, and duration for each work activity.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Client's project representatives to facilitate construction.
Qualifications:
- This position requires 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent.
- BS degree in a related field, preferred Civil Engineering/Construction Management.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Travel, as required.
