Full Job Description

Job Overview
IMKAT Construction is a fast-growing ADU builder completing 120+ projects annually across Northern California. We are hiring a Construction Controller who can lead and perform accounting operations, including AP/AR, job costing, and financial reporting.

Duties

Handle and oversee AP/AR, subcontractor invoices, PO matching, billing, and collections.
Maintain accurate job costing for all ADU projects.
Prepare monthly financial reports, WIP schedules, and cash flow forecasts.
Develop and enforce SOPs for accounting processes.
Train junior staff in basic accounting workflows.
Improve systems in Buildertrend + QuickBooks.

Qualifications

5+ years construction accounting or controller experience.
Strong AP/AR and job costing skills.
Proficient in Buildertrend (or similar) and QuickBooks.
Ability to build processes from scratch and teach non-accounting team members.
Highly organized, accurate, and proactive.
