Ashoka Lion is a property management and brokerage company in Houston, TX. We are looking to fill the following position:
FULL-TIME PROPERTY MANAGER.
Shift is 8am-5pm Monday through Friday with a 1 hour break. Will be in weekly on-call rotation to take after hours emergency repair calls, also will be expected to attend HOA board meetings which typically are scheduled outside of work shift.
The position consists of the following day-to-day activities (please note list is provided as a sample, and is not all inclusive of the duties the role would entail):
1) Handle Homeowner Association and Rental Management Inquiries
2) Reviewing reports for both HOA and Rental Management side (financial, violation, etc)
3) Performing Inspections of communities (as contracted) or property visits for the rental side
4) Coordinating with vendors for repairs and bid outs (including after hours emergency repairs as they come in)
5) Track and ensure that compliance items are kept up with
6) Attend Homeowner Meetings (typically after office hours, and scheduled in advance - primarily virtual attendance, but occasional in person may be required)
7) Attend Board Meetings (typically after office hours - primarily virtual attendance, but occasional in person may be required)
8) Update weekly status reports (rental and HOA) and live sheet for HOA
9) Manage and review Homeowner, Tenant, and Landlord monthly Newsletters
10) Lease showings upon request (internal or outside showings may be requested if applicant has an active real estate license)
11) Additional duties may be included
The ideal candidate should also have a real estate license (must transfer it to our brokerage if hired) so that income can also be supplemented with Real Estate transactions. We receive a large pool of leasing leads that you would have access to, as well as an internal pre-qualification vetting process that is handled by our team before the lead is turned over to an agent - that way you can focus your efforts on valid leads that have a good likelyhood to qualify!
This position is a HYBRID position - your primary work place will be from home, but regular driving is expected between HOA and Rental Management activities. Applicants should have the following:
1. Valid Driver's License
2. Reliable vehicle (good gas milage preferred, but not required - but must have valid and current insurance and registration)
3. Personal Computer (laptop or desktop PC using Windows or MAC OS ONLY - no tablets or Chrome OS devices)
4. Reliable internet
5. Active Real Estate license (preferred but not required - if you do not have one you will not be able to work leads or participate in real estate transactions)
Training will be provided. A background check and drug screening are required prior to hire.
Interviews are conducted over the phone.
