Office Hours:
M,W 8-4
T, Th 7-4
Fri 8-2
Working hours start 30 minutes prior to scheduled shift.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments including vital signs and medical history reviews.
- Utilize Dentrix Ascend for documentation and patient records management.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure infection control within the clinic.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices.
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation review.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
