Front Desk Receptionist — Specialty Eye Clinic (Chelsea)
BluWaters Dry Eye Clinic & Spa is a brand-new dry eye specialty clinic in downtown Chelsea — a small, calm, unhurried practice built around careful care for people whose eyes have been overlooked for years. As one of our first hires, you'll help set the tone for how patients experience the practice from the moment they call.
This is a front desk job first. We're looking for a warm, organized person to be the voice on the phone, the face at the desk, and the person who keeps the day running smoothly. Because we're brand new, not everything has a set routine yet — so we're especially looking for someone who's comfortable figuring things out and making sensible calls on their own. Once you're settled, we'll also train you on a few simple clinical tasks — helping run some of our dry eye treatment devices alongside the doctor, and keeping equipment clean and ready. It's a small part of the job, no medical background required, and we teach you everything.
What you'll do
- Answer calls and texts, schedule and confirm appointments, manage the daily calendar
- Greet patients warmly and keep the office calm and welcomingHandle check-in, check-out, and payments
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date
- Answer basic product and retail questions Keep the front desk, waiting area, and office tidy and presentable
- After training: assist with simple clinical treatments and sanitize equipment between patients
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Resourceful and self-directed — sees what needs doing and does it without waiting to be asked
- Friendly, dependable, and genuinely good with people
- Organized under a little pressure — a ringing phone, a full schedule, and a patient at the desk at once
- Comfortable on a computer: email, scheduling, learning new software
- Conscientious about cleanliness and detail — this is a healthcare setting
- Punctual and reliable; in a small office, every shift matters
- Available for the occasional evening or weekend event
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Front desk, retail, hospitality, or medical office experience is a plus, not a requirement

- Paid time off and paid holidays
