About Bouley Detailing
Bouley Detailing is a Houston-area shop specializing in high-end paint protection and appearance services: XPEL paint protection film, ceramic coatings, and paint correction. We focus on quality over volume, taking on work where craftsmanship matters and doing it right rather than fast.
Many of our clients are enthusiasts with vintage, European, and high-value cars, so the standard we hold ourselves to is high: clean edges, refined finishes, and installs that are hard to detect even up close. We'd rather turn out fewer cars at an exceptional level than push volume at the expense of the result. If you take pride in your work and want to be somewhere your skill is actually valued, this is that kind of shop.
The Role
We're looking for a Lead PPF Installer who can own the full install process from start to finish and deliver work at a level our clients expect. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, wants their skill to be valued, and can keep the install side of the shop running smoothly. You'll handle everything from template-based installs to hybrid custom work. We have a dedicated prep and disassembly team that handles washing, decon, and component removal, so you can stay focused on the install itself, though disassembly experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-vehicle and partial PPF installs using XPEL Ultimate Plus and similar films
- Execute both template-based and custom/bulk plotter installs with clean, precise results
- Wrap film deeply around edges and manage transitions for a refined, hard-to-detect finish
- Inspect finished work for edges, lifting, contamination, and visible transitions, and correct as needed
- Manage film inventory by tracking usage, monitoring stock, and reordering as needed
- Manage the install schedule and timelines to keep jobs moving and on time
- Coordinate with other installers to ensure every PPF job stays on track
- Coordinate with the prep and disassembly team to keep vehicles moving smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organized work bay and care for tools and equipment
- Communicate clearly about timelines and any issues that come up on a vehicle
Requirements
- Proven experience installing paint protection film at a high level (portfolio or photos required)
- Skilled with both template/software-cut patterns and freehand/bulk installs
- Strong attention to detail and a genuinely high standard for finished work
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage a vehicle from intake to completion
- Able to manage schedules, inventory, and other installers to keep the shop on track
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality
Nice to Have
- XPEL certification or training (or experience with SunTek, STEK, or similar)
- Experience with partial disassembly and reassembly of exterior components
- Experience with ceramic coatings and paint correction
- Experience working on vintage, European, or high-value vehicles
- Prior experience leading or coordinating a team of installers
