The Role: What You'll Command
As an Independent Driver, you are the front line of our operation. You will dominate local streets and state highways, turning driving hours into a high-revenue business. You aren't just driving a car; you are providing an essential, high-quality, stress-free pipeline for passengers who rely on us for daily commuting, critical medical travel, long-haul state runs, and rapid courier deliveries.

Key Operations & Responsibilities
- Precision Passenger Transit: Safely and efficiently execute point-to-point transportation from origin to destination.
- Statewide & Airport Operations: Own routes across all 77 Oklahoma counties, including regular high-revenue runs to and from Will Rogers World Airport (OKC).
- Critical Community Infrastructure: Stand tall for the community. You will occasionally handle specialized institutional pickups, including transporting patients safely from hospitals and mental health facilities, and partnering with local law enforcement to ensure citizens get home securely.
- Platform Delivery Execution: Dominate our delivery network, ensuring commercial and personal cargo is transported and dropped on time, every time.
- Elite Dispatch Cross-Training: Learn to operate our tactical dispatch system to coordinate fleet vehicles, field customer calls, and log high-volume data. Note: Contractors who step up to command dispatch operations trigger an elevated, separate pay scale to heavily offset the extra responsibility.
Tactical Job, Vehicle, & Legal Requirements
We protect our passengers, our partners, and our brand. To run with us, you must meet these strict criteria:
- The Fleet Vehicle: You must provide your own machine. It must be 2015 or newer and legally capable of carrying up to 6 passengers. (The fact is simple: The more passengers your rig can legally hold, the higher your volume capacity and the bigger your profit-sharing cut per trip.)
- Specialized Driving Background: Minimum of 10 years of licensed driving experience. A proven track record in Taxi/Chauffeur operations, Ride-share platforms (Uber/Lyft), or Premium Delivery (DoorDash/Uber Eats) is highly recommended. Make no mistake: Buller Taxi Services actively selects and prioritizes candidate drivers with the deepest experience in these fields.
- Mandatory Drug Screening: You must pass a pre-employment drug test. This is non-negotiable. Buller Taxi Services, LLC will fully fund the cost of this initial screening.
- Unannounced Random Testing: Because this is a designated safety-sensitive position, we enforce a strict policy of zero-notice, random drug testing at any time. We maintain absolute compliance with DOT and OSHA safety regulations to protect the integrity of our drivers and the trust of our partners.
- Commercial Vehicle Insurance: Must carry and maintain valid state motor vehicle insurance meeting full ride-for-hire and commercial compliance standards.
- Clean DMV Record: Must provide a current, official, clean driving record directly from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
- OSBI Fingerprint Background Check: Must successfully pass a state-mandated Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) fingerprint-based criminal history check.
- 1099 Tax Autonomy: You are your own business entity. In strict accordance with IRS standards, no federal, state, or local taxes will be withheld from your weekly payouts. You are fully responsible for managing and filing your own self-employment and income taxes.
- Benefits Responsibility: Health, dental, and medical benefits are not provided. You are completely responsible for your own personal medical coverage.
- Workers' Compensation Exclusion: In strict alignment with the Oklahoma Administrative Workers' Compensation Act (85A O.S. § 36), independent contractors are legally excluded from company employee workers' comp policies. You assume liability for your own workplace health protections and will sign an official Affidavit of Exempt Status to be filed with the state commission.
- Age Limit: Must be at least 21 years old.
Legal Compliance Mandate (Criminal History): In strict compliance with Oklahoma state statutes governing public safety and commercial passenger transit, all candidates must possess a pristine criminal record. Under state law, individuals with any history of felonies, or misdemeanors involving violent crimes (Assault and Battery), Robbery, Theft, or weapons charges are legally disqualified from transport positions.
