Due to sustained and robust market expansion, we are adding an accomplished Controller within our facilities near Tigard Oregon.
We are an extremely successful PNW based complex design/manufacturer, and this position is a critical addition to our organization. The Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial guidance to support the company's growth.
This position requires a demonstrated mastery of financial accounting, general ledger reconciliations, as well as solid knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting. Prior professional experience in a manufacturing environment is a must, as is the ability to work both "up and down" the organization well as this position reports directly to the CFO, and will mentor and manage a diverse team of accountants and specialists. Your prior experiences in both day to day focuses will be just as critical as a strategic background. Our company is in a high growth mode, and this senior leader is a critical manager in our firm!
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the financial accounting closings, including (occasional) hands-on work with Senior Accountants.
- Works closely with C level management in budgeting process development.
- Implements and maintains effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborates with external auditors during audits and provides necessary documentation etc.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assumes all cash forecasting responsibilities.
- Leads special projects as identified.
Experience
- Proven experience in a financial Controller role with process management experience. Must have prior professional experience in manufacturing of 2+ years minimum.
- Deep proficiency in ERP accounting software as well as MS Office.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop meaningful reports.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required from an accredited college/university.
- A CPA designation is strongly desired, and will be given priority during our processese.
