Outside Sales Representative Summary

Chetu is seeking a full-time, energetic Outside Sales Representative to generate new business opportunities by representing the company at trade shows and local events. This role focuses on proactive outreach, engaging prospective clients, qualifying leads, and ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales team for continued development.

The ideal candidate is relationship‑driven, highly personable, and skilled at building meaningful connections that lead to long‑term opportunities and referrals. This role requires strong communication abilities, consultative engagement, and the discipline to manage pre‑event preparation, on‑site execution, and post‑event follow‑up in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation Structure

Package Range: $65,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Event Preparation

Collaborate with manager to obtain and review attendee lists prior to events
Partner with Marketing to develop targeted outreach strategies, including email drip campaigns
Conduct outbound outreach to event attendees to schedule meetings and appointments in advance
Identify and qualify prospective clients prior to events
Enter all pre‑show engagement and lead information into the CRM system

On‑Site Event Execution

Represent Chetu at trade shows and local events in a professional and engaging manner
Proactively engage attendees to build interest and communicate Chetu’s value proposition
Qualify prospects and identify business opportunities
Attend networking events to expand reach and build meaningful connections
Develop strong, consultative relationships by understanding business needs
Build relationships that generate referrals and long‑term opportunities
Introduce high‑potential prospects to Directors of Operations for deeper discovery
Accurately capture and enter lead details into the CRM, including interaction notes
Categorize leads based on defined lead status and rating criteria

Post‑Event Follow‑Up

Conduct timely outreach to all leads generated during the event to schedule discovery calls
Transition qualified prospects to National Account Managers for continued engagement
Re‑engage unresponsive or neglected leads to drive conversion
Ensure all post‑show activities and updates are properly documented in the CRM
Visit client locations of “Hot” leads with high probability for conversion

General Duties

Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to improve trade show conversion rates and pipeline growth
Provide feedback to Marketing on campaign effectiveness and messaging for non‑digital leads
Contribute to continuous improvement of outreach strategies and trade show performance

Requirements

Outgoing, energetic, and personable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders
Previous sales, business development, or customer‑facing experience preferred
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through
Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60–70%)
