American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a night shift position at a freestanding emergency department in Valparaiso, IN, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and CT/XR proficiency.

Work setting is a 10-bed freestanding emergency department (FSED) in Portage, IN, within the Radiology department
-
Covers CT and XR imaging for the FSED, as well as an Inpatient Rehab Unit and Regency Unit for low-volume XR/CT needs
-
An XR technologist is on-site until 11:00 PM; candidate will work independently from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Equipment includes GE CT Scanner, Philips XR, Vitrea, Merge PACS, and MedRad contrast injector

Cerner EMR — experience preferred

13-week contract

Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

No call requirements

Current ARRT (R)(CT) certification required

BLS certification required
-
1–2 years of experience in CT and XR required

Proficiency with CT and XR procedures required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date

License required if applicable

Performs CT and XR imaging for ED patients, as well as supporting inpatient units with low imaging volume
-
Department maintains protocol books and up-to-date scan protocols in the scanner

Good working relationship with the ED team

Black scrubs required
-
RTO requests must be less than 1 week for the duration of the contract

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered for this position
