Metro Code is a Plan Review & Inspection Company that is seeking a full-time Residential Energy Plans Examiner/Inspector. This position will perform Plan Review and conduct field inspections for the compliance of Energy Code programs. Metro Code offers opportunities to learn from some of the most qualified Building Officials in the industry, as well as opportunities for growth in a thriving company. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly trainable, and works well with others!
Requirements:
· HERS Field Inspector and Rater certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
· ICC Residential Energy Code Plans Examiner/Inspector or ability to obtain within 90 days
· Experience in construction industry
· Proficient in Microsoft word, outlook, and excel
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Valid TX State Drivers license
· Good driving history
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
Essential Functions:
· Perform HERS ratings
· Perform Thermal Bypass Inspections
· Perform infiltration and duct leakage testing
· Assist with various tasks supporting Energy Star and green building programs
· Communicate program requirements to builders
Ideal candidate will possess as many of the following certifications as possible:
· HERS Field Inspector and Rater certification
· ICC Commercial/ Residential Energy Code Plans Examiner Certification
· ICC Commercial/ Residential Energy Code Inspector Certification
