Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in delivering high-quality parts efficiently. Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
Program CNC equipment using CAM programming software and interpret G-code to produce complex parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assemble components or modify parts as needed.
Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and ensure adherence to safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes for efficiency and waste reduction.
Operate auxiliary equipment such as electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines, welding tools, and plastics injection molding machinery when required.
Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, inspections, and production logs for traceability.
Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T specifications, and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines, particularly Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks or general CAD/CAM programming skills.
Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting.
Ability to operate precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and use hand tools effectively.
Valid forklift certification is preferred for material handling tasks.
