Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a diverse range of legal practice areas, including estate planning, family law, criminal law, and more. As an Associate Attorney, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive legal counsel, conducting research, preparing legal documents, and supporting trial and litigation processes. This paid position is ideal for motivated legal professionals eager to develop their expertise across multiple disciplines while making a meaningful impact for clients.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across various practice areas.
Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and coordinating depositions.
Provide effective legal advocacy during court depositions and hearings while maintaining professionalism and attention to procedural law requirements.
Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems; track deadlines and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Communicate clearly with clients to gather information, explain legal options, and update on case progress.
Support attorneys in negotiations related to employment law cases, personal injury claims, or land disputes to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the State of Texas.
Demonstrated experience or coursework in immigration, family law, criminal law, or general litigation.
Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms; excellent legal writing and drafting abilities.
Knowledge of procedural law and courtroom procedures; experience with court depositions preferred.
Proven ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for client interaction and negotiation purposes.
Familiarity with legal motion preparation, trial support activities, and case management software is highly desirable.
