DG specializes in the design and development of intelligent software and hardware protocol interface devices for the in-vehicle and controller area network markets, as well as a leader in vehicle cybersecurity standards and consulting for vehicle network engineering customers. DG is seeking a highly motivated software developer with experience in developing software applications. Responsibilities include – review requirements, design, implementation and testing of a software product. Familiarity and experience with In-Vehicle networking and automotive protocols preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform basic functions of software – troubleshoot, design, code and test on assigned new features, change requests and defect fixes.
- Establish and adhere to estimates in project work plan for assigned tasks.
- Provide regular updates of assigned task progression to software lead for project planning, tracking and oversight.
- Identify or propose product process or infrastructure improvements.
- Interface with product development team.
- In-Vehicle Networking and Automotive protocols (CAN, J1939, J1708, ISO9141, etc.)
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Languages – C, C++, C#, Pascal, Python
- Scripts – Perl, Java
- Markup Languages – XML, XSLT, XSD, XSLFQ, CSS
- Other – Visual Basic, HTML, PHP, JSON
- Android development experience
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience working as a Software Developer
- In-Vehicle Networking: 1 year (Preferred)
