Job Description: Journeyman Electrician

In this role, we are searching for a tactical on-site leader who wants to make an impact, will live the Ethos Way, and can actively mentor our field crews as we expand our commercial electrical and specialized technical deployment capabilities. Buckle up!
Summary Responsibilities
The Journeyman Electrician has four general responsibilities:
- Tactical Site Execution: Direct daily field operations for assigned crews, ensuring installations match engineering prints, schematics, and client specifications from project pre-planning activities to project completion.
- Safety & Compliance Leadership: Foster a zero-incident culture through active safety leadership, rigorous Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) management, and continuous code compliance.
- Crew Mentorship & Development: Actively coach, train, and develop Apprentice and Journeyman talent, supporting their personal and professional growth.
- Operational & Financial Reporting: Review daily construction metrics, manage field inventory, and collaborate with Project Management to hit schedule and cost goals.
Essential Duties
- Day-to-Day Operations: Coordinate and direct daily operations for an assigned field crew (typically 2–6 team members) across specific construction sites.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret commercial blueprints, one-line diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Safety & Risk Mitigation: Conduct morning safety tailgates; ensure strict adherence to OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety protocols; maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Material & Equipment Logistics: Perform pre-project site walks; evaluate site conditions relative to scope; verify material counts and coordinate specialized machinery staging (e.g., man-lifts, bucket trucks).
- Quality Assurance: Monitor crew production to guarantee all conduit routing, wire pulling, and terminations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Reporting: Submit accurate daily field reports detailing progress, material usage, and labor hours; identify and communicate scope deviations to enable timely change orders.
- Workforce Growth: Partner with program leadership to provide performance feedback, annual assessments, and advancement tracking for field personnel.
Supervision Responsibilities
- Direct Reports: 2–6 team members (Journeymen, Apprentices, and Field Technicians).
Travel & Location
- Travel: As required based on regional project distribution
- Primary Region: Colorado / Denver Metro Area
Education, Training, and Skills Required
- Licensing: Valid State Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
- Certifications: OSHA 30
- Experience: 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical construction experience, with at least 1–2 years in a dedicated lead or supervisory capacity.
- Technical Competence: Advanced knowledge of commercial 3-phase systems, complex conduit bending (EMT, Rigid), and structural mounting methods.
- Screening: Must pass initial background check, substance screening, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, precarious heights, outside weather conditions, and active electrical hazards.
- Must be capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.
- Must be comfortable operating atop elevated platforms, ladders, or scaffolding in commercial settings.

Pay: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour
