The Entry-Level Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing friendly, professional support to customers while helping create a positive customer experience.
The ideal candidate is someone beginning their career who is detail oriented, enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and developing experience in both customer service and sales. The successful candidate will assist customers with questions, process orders, support the sales team, and identify opportunities to recommend products and services that meet customer needs. Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, chat, or in person in a courteous and timely manner.
Provide basic information about products, services, pricing, and company policies.
Assist customers with placing orders, requesting quotes, and updating account information.
Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate team when needed.
Support the sales team by following up on customer requests, preparing quotes, and assisting with pre- and post-sale activities.
Identify opportunities to introduce customers to additional products or services and refer sales opportunities to the appropriate team member.
Complete customer and vendor onboarding by collecting and maintaining required documentation.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and service requests in company systems.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Learn about company products, manufacturer partners, and industry trends through ongoing training.
Meet customer service and sales support goals, including response times, customer satisfaction, and lead generation.
High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree is a plus. Recent graduates who are interested in a sales career are encouraged to apply.
0–2 years of customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred.
Beginner sales experience, such as retail sales, upselling, customer-facing service, or inside sales, is a plus but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
